Apply for funding

Our purpose is to raise funds to support the cultural, social and welfare needs of the Ōtaki Community. Each year we raise around $10,000 from running the Ōtaki Market along with other fund raising which is gifted back into the community.

We provide support for local initiatives

Ōtaki Fire Service, Ōtaki Surf Lifesaving Club, Ōtaki Community Patrol, Health Shuttle Foodbank, Cobblers Soup, Hamish Barham Kapiti Youth, Ōtaki College Scholarships, HUHA, Menz Shed

 

Contributions are made to wider and National Organisations which provide benefit to our community such as: Cancer Society, St Johns Shuttle, Palmerston North Helicopter Rescue / Life Flight , Blind Institute Arthritis Foundation, Birthright, Starship and Wellington Childrens hospitals

APPLY FOR FUNDING

The remaining funding available will be provided to applicants who request funding, in the past this has been provided to individuals, families and sports clubs.

Applications will be considered quarterly


Funding criteria

1. The funding must be for individuals that reside in the Ōtaki area, or able to demonstrate the funding will benefit the Ōtaki community.
2. The funding must be for nonprofit purposes only.
3. Application made in writing including details of the costs and benefits of the request along with any other funding options explored.
4. Establish that there is not a suitable alternative funding source for this requirement.
5. The applicant has not received any funding from the club in the last 12 months. 6. Maximum grant is $1000.
