Otaki & Te Horo Fire Service

A massive high-five to some real-life superheroes – our very own Otaki and Te Horo Volunteer Fire Brigade! This crew have been working hard and had a challenging couple of weeks.

The Otaki Women's Community Club wanted say thank you to all the mahi our fire brigade has been putting into our community. They turned up, with Fire Trucks at the Otaki Market for "lunch on us".

Our amazing food vendors, P&S Kai Kart, Sweet K's Kushna, Olde Beach Bakery, Anthea's Kitchen and, 10 year old Dakota who was running the sausage sizzle, (fundraising for Cheerleading trip to Hawaii) also contributed financially to lunch for the fire fighters, and for that we say a massive thank you for your generosity. It was truly a community team effort.

The firefighters spent the next couple of hours soaking up the market vibe, chatting with the visitors, and letting the kids explore the fire trucks like they were mini fire chiefs in training.

It was a beautiful sight – our community coming together to show our firefighters just how much they mean to us. So, to our awesome Otaki and Te Horo Volunteer Fire Brigade – you rock! Thanks for keeping us safe, for being there when we need you most, and for being the true heroes that you are.

And to our incredible community – keep spreading that love and kindness wherever you go.

Because when we come together, there's nothing we can't do.

Until next time, stay safe, stay awesome, and keep being the amazing bunch of people that you are!
