The Ōtaki Kids Market is hitting the road this October with an exciting series of pop-up markets, giving young entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their creativity, skills, and passion to a wider audience.
From 1–3 October, the Kids Market will be popping up at Coastlands Shopping Centre in Paraparaumu, bringing the vibrant energy of Ōtaki’s tamariki stallholders to the Kāpiti Coast’s busiest retail hub. Shoppers will be treated to a diverse range of handmade crafts, delicious baking, creative art, toys, and unique gifts—all designed and sold by young people.
The excitement continues on Saturday, 5 October, when the Kids Market returns to its home at Ōtaki Memorial Hall, running alongside the main Ōtaki Market. Families can enjoy the full market experience, with plenty of kai, entertainment, and the chance to support local talent.
The Kids Market has quickly become a community favourite, supported by schools, whānau, and local businesses. It’s a space where creativity thrives and young people learn the value of hard work and innovation.
